How to select the type of Liaoning reduced iron calciner?

Different Liaoning reduced iron calciners have different characteristics in technology. The selection shall be determined according to the type of raw materials, calcined materials and uses, and different technical requirements for calcination. The technical and economic comparison shall be based on local conditions and specific conditions.

Reduction iron calciner rotary kiln

The tank type Liaoning reducing iron calciner has good calcination quality and low carbon combustion loss. It is easy to calcine with volatile substances of carbon raw materials, and no or little fuel is added. Suitable for plants with low calcination capacity. However, the tank calciner has large investment, poor labor conditions, difficult environmental protection management, high maintenance costs, and difficult to achieve automatic operation.

Liaoning reduced iron calciner rotary kiln has strong production capacity, high degree of automation and relatively small investment. It is suitable for large calciners and is widely used internationally. The main disadvantage is that the charcoal is burned very much, and the maintenance is also large.

Electric Liaoning reduced iron calciner has small capacity and high production cost, so it is generally required to produce high-quality cathode carbon blocks and blast furnace carbon blocks only in electric carbon plants with small capacity. Because the furnace can reach a high temperature of 1500~2100 ℃, the anthracite can reach a semi graphitized state. The cathode carbon block and the blast furnace carbon block made of it can still maintain high mechanical strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Due to the removal of sulfur and acid oxides in anthracite during high-temperature calcination, the reaction with alkaline impurities is reduced, thus greatly extending the service life of aluminum reduction cells and blast furnaces.

The rotary bed Liaoning reduced iron calciner is a new type of furnace that appeared in the 1970s. It is characterized by simple equipment structure, large capacity, suitable for large-scale centralized calcination, and high degree of automation of continuous operation. This kind of furnace is still only used in a few countries in the world. Coke oven is a special oven for coking, but it can also be used for calcining carbon materials. Due to low calcination temperature, large equipment investment, complex structure and long construction period, it has not been widely used.

The calciner is an important calcination equipment for carbon enterprises. However, some foreign carbon enterprises do not build calciners. The calcined materials required for production are calcined on a large scale in the raw material base, and then distributed to carbon enterprise users. This method can give full play to the advantages of equipment technology and management, and obtain better economic benefits than the decentralized calcination of carbon enterprises. However, the production system is determined according to different conditions such as national conditions, industrial development level and production scale.

Besides calcined coke, metallurgical coke and pitch coke are also raw materials for carbon supply enterprises. Since it has been coked in the coke oven at 1200~1300 ℃, no further calcination is required. However, due to the spraying of coke and the addition of some water during transportation and storage, it is necessary to dry the coke before use. Tank calciners and rotary kilns are sometimes used for drying operations, but this is not economical for the use of equipment. A large amount of water discharged is not conducive to the service life of lining bricks. Therefore, special drying equipment should be set up. The so-called rotary kiln and tank drying furnace are actually simplified devices of rotary kiln and tank calciner. Due to the low drying temperature, waste gas can be used as the heat source for drying. The water discharged during drying is generally taken away with flue gas. The tank oven shall be specially equipped with a drainage channel so that the water can enter the flue in time or exit the oven directly.
