Introduction:
The main body of the disc dryer is composed of a cylindrical shell and a group of discs through the center. The disc set is hollow, and the thermal medium flows through it to transfer the heat to the sludge indirectly through the disc. The sludge passes between the disc and the shell, receives the heat transferred by the disc, evaporates the water, and the water vapor formed by the evaporation of the sludge water gathers in the dome above the disc, and is taken out of the dryer by a small amount of ventilation. The disc of disc dryer has two functions: one is to provide sufficient heat exchange area for sludge, and the other is to rotate slowly. The small propeller on the disc dryer pushes sludge to flow in the specified direction and plays a good role in mixing. The disc dryer uses the double-sided heat transfer of each disc to provide a large heat transfer area in a small space, which makes the disc dryer compact. The rotation frequency of the disc is adjustable, and the speed is about 5r/min, so the wear is very small. The disc surface is perpendicular to the shaft, so its rotation does not affect the flow direction of sludge. There are some small paddles at the edge of the disc of the disc dryer, which have a certain inclination, not only help the sludge flow in a directional way, but also play a role in mixing. The shell is fixed, which holds the sludge and the water vapor generated by sludge evaporation. The inner wall of the shell is provided with a fixed scraper. The scraper is very long and extends to the gap between the discs to prevent large pieces of sludge from solidifying on the discs. Similar to the blade on the disc, the fixed scraper also plays the role of stirring.
